We have officially entered 2026, I have a feeling this year will be even better than 2025. To make sure this really becomes the reality, we got to start off 2026 with fresh new sneakers to get the year started on the right foot. I don’t know about you, but having to buy new sneakers sounds more fun than taking care of my responsibilities. Who wants to think of responsibilities when you have new sneakers to buy. So let put our responsibilities on pause and look at these epic sneaker trends for 2026:
Skater-inspired silhouettes
As a 90s kid I was very much present when it came to fashion in 00s and let me tell you skater-inspired sneakers were everything. They personally were never my thing, but back then if you wanted to be the IT GIRl you had to wear them. So obviously if they were that girl back then, they had to make a come back like a toxic ex that is hard to resist. Model like Adidas Campus made this epic come back even more epic.
Taupe
Low-profile suede sneakers like Adidas Samba are still going strong, but now the new IT Girls has entered the chat which are taupe and chocolate brown shades. Black and red were dominating, but now it is time for brown to take over. When it comes to these sneakers the styling is the key, we can keep it simple or shock everyone with special appearance of the white socks. Try adding colors to the fit since the sneakers are in neutral colors, for example jacket, sweater or t-shirt. Neutral sneakers doesn’t mean we have to make the whole outfit boring, that is the beauty of styling.

When I was in my party girl era (what am I talking about, I still am haha) Adidas superstar were my go to sneakers for going clubbing. First they are super comfortable, I was able to dance all night without my feet hurting me. Second you can dress up as well as dress down when wearing them, and sky is the limit when it comes to styling them. Third thanks to their rubber toe, you can wear them in any season, but especially in the winter. They are slowly making a comeback, and are great winter sneakers, since rubber toe gives you extra protection when it rains.
Colorful Salomons
Salomon sneakers have been trending for the past few years and from looks of it, they are not going anywhere. I am not surprised at all, not only are they practical, but they are also very stylish. They are perfect sneakers if you want your outfits to stand out with pop of colors. You can look like cool girl without trying!
Chunky soles
If you were scared that chunky sneakers are going away, fear less because they are here to stay. They have been around for last few seasons and they are still going strong, as much as their ability to grab attention. Though there is little twist instead of taller, think of wider. It makes the shoes even more unique, that will make your daily coffee runs feel like catwalks. Great way to style them is with nice pair of jeans and an elegant blouse. Classy look with a unique twist is the perfect combination.
All black
All black sneakers is just that girl, that always looks good without trying. You can always use all black sneakers in your closet, when you are in rush and have to quickly throw something. You can style them from casual to elegant, or go crazy and do all black outfit, which is personally my favorite.
All white
The same as all black, all white is another type of shoes that are useful to owe. If you want more light tone, more girly I guess then you go with all white. They are so simple, but yet make outfits stand out. My favorite way to style them is defiantly with skirts, but they also work well with jeans and dress. With all white you can really go crazy with colors, and style them with unique colorful pieces.

Let’s be honest during the winter, our outfits tend to have less color and great way to add some color into our outfits is with colorful sneakers. I personally enjoy adding pop of color in winter, because it motives me since the weather is obviously not motivating me. If you are missing the sun, adding yellow sneakers is the best way to keep yourself going. I would recommend styling it with a skirt or dress, since they are heeled you do need to go with more elegant outfit.

If you want to add some color to your outfit with low effort, wear sneakers with colorful laces. Colorful laces have been trending worldwide and I don’t blame them, it looks super cute. I love black and white sneakers with colorful laces or pastel sneakers with bright coloured laces. The best part of this trend is, you don’t even need to get new sneakers for it, just get old pair of sneakers and buy yourself colorful laces.

What are popping off right now, are these slim soles which give retro vibe. They lean into minimalist aesthetic, and are very practical because you can basically slip them on. You can style them in casual way with pair of jeans and a basic t-shirt.

These are another sneakers, that are super random, but yet can make an outfit really stand out. I don’t think they are for everyone, but for those who see the vision, they are perfect addition to their wardrobe. They are fun pieces that you can experiment and play around with.
This winter season we have plenty of options when it comes to sneakers, that will keep us warm, trendy and little bit more alive. If you need pop of colors there are pink and yellow sneakers, if you need statement sneakers you have boxing, heeled or chunky sneakers. In the winter we anyways need to wear a lot of layer, so it is amazing that at least we can wear something light on our feet. Nothing will make the boring winter more fun than styling and experimenting these sneakers.
